The International Banking Center (CBI) of Panama has achieved significant growth in external deposits

The International Banking Center (IBC) of Panama has achieved remarkable growth in external deposits, reaching a total of US$40.152 billion by June 2024. Colombia leads this growth, with deposits accounting for approximately 20% of the total, amounting to around US$8 billion. Venezuela and Costa Rica also stand out for their participation in the IBC, reflecting the confidence of Latin American markets in Panama. According to the Director of Financial Stability at the Superintendency of Banks of Panama, this growth is supported by Panama's removal from the FATF grey list.
